If you have a cavity, and you get it filled, isn't it possible that you can take care of that tooth and never
need any more work done to it again, what i mean is the cavity is still there, so how does filling help anything?
How can I find a biddable, reputable dentist within Hungary?
Answers:
A dentist will drill away all of the decaying parts of the tooth before filling it.
Once a tooth is properly filled, it's up to you to keep it clean so it won't develop new decay. So yes, it's possible to keep a tooth healthy even if it had a filling.
Hope this helps.
Probably, but you didn't take care of the tooth well enough in the first place. What makes you think that you will take care of it enough to keep the cavity from getting worse?
Is near a bearing i can adjust my teeth w/o an orthodontist?
they scrape away the rot first, then fill it.
The dentist is right. If you keep it clean and go to have your cleanings and xrays done every six months they can keep and eye on it and make sure that new decay is not starting. If the filling cracks because older fillings will need to be replaced make sure you do it and don't put it off or you will run the risk of new decay starting. You will be fine.
I agree with the pros above with a footnote.
Yes, if you get all of the decay removed and have a filling placed, you will be preserving your tooth.
No, the filling will not last the rest of your life. When you say, "never," it makes me think about what you are expecting. ANY material that we place in the mouth will eventually break down and require replacement. Hopefully, this will be 20-30 years in the future, but it won't be the last treatment your tooth ever needs.
