Effects of an overbite and braces?
Question:
Answers:
get an expander
Braces are going to be the easiest and quickest way to fix and overbite and anything that may be wrong with the alignment of your teeth, even if they look straight.
Braces are cheapest as well, though you can have porcelin braces. At 15, however, having metal braces shouldn't be a big deal.
Long term effects will have to be discussed with your dentist, but because your mouth is constantly changing, you'll be putting more and more pressure on your jaws.
i am not any ortho but i have an over bite too.
i do not think there are any long term effects if you dont get braces. people that gets braces are the ones that care about how they look.
if you are getting braces, perhaps you can get them clear. though after a while...they turn yellow.
O_O
this is nature. let it be.
:]hope i helped a little.
You could get invisalign which is clear braces. But if ur 15 it would be fine to get metal braces.
Braces aren't all bad
you still have two years of high school to get it right
and if your teeth are perfect in general
And overbite with straight teeth, you'll only need braces for a while. You should take the braces
If the overbite is bad then chances are it'll get a lot worse and could mess ip your jaw entirely
Do braces stop an overbite? I had one, and I got braces to straighten my teeth, but they gave me an operation to reposition my jaw because my overbite was so bad. I guess it depends how bad it is.
