Questions?

Question:
my orthodontist she wants to cut my gum off in 7 weeks. will i be asleep? will they give me laughing gas? how long should it take?

Answers:
HELLO,
YOU PROBABLY NEED TO HAVE A PROCEDURE CALLED A LABIAL FRENECTOMY.
THIS IS A RELATIVELY EASY PROCEDURE WHERE YOU GET A SHOT OR TWO AND YOUR SMALL FLIPPY SKIN BETWEEN YOUR UPPER TWO FRONT TEETH IS REMOVED AND A STITCH OR TWO ARE PUT IN.
THIS DOES NOT TAKE A LONG APPOINTMENT, AND WOULD MOST LIKELY BE OVER WITH IN 15 MINUTES FROM START TO FINISH.
im sure they'll put you on some sort of medication, wether it be to knock you out or to numb your gums.
Im not too sure about how long, no worries about it.
good luck!
xx
I had my swollen gums trimmed when i was little and i was awake. Local anaesthetic. But you can probably ask for sedation.
They'll HAVE to put you under - if they even suggest not, you insist on it.
You should not worry. They will probably just give you a shot In your gums which numbs that area where they will be working. With this numbing effect, you will not feel what she will be doing. It will be over before you know It.
You will do find! Good Luck.
