Did it hurt to take your braces off?

If you have CERAMIC braces like I did...then...good luck... Just think of a happy place while they are cracking your brackets right in front of you without any numbing whatsoever =] I still remember that event, I was grabbing ahold on my dentist's assistant's hand and I think I might've cut off her blood circulation from there lol =]. No worries, you will feel relived once it's over. Well, right now I have only temporary retainers, I guess it just depends on what plan you have. My real ones, which are invisaligns, will come in about 2 weeks after my previous appointment.
Getting them off doesn't hurt @ all, don't worry. It depends about the retainer, but I had to wear mine day and night for 2 weeks then just @ night for like 6 month then every other night then every other, other night and so on. But now i have great teeth and people complement me on them, so insteds of being scared be excited! Good luck and smile big!
Getting your braces off does not hurt in the least. If anything, when they take of the glue might seem a little uncomfortable because they have to scrap it off but that does not hurt; you might not like the sound of it. How long you will have to wear your retainer depends on how long your dentist thinks you need it but it might be around 6 months to 1 year. Good luck!
Nope, not at all. I was sooooo happy when i was waiting to get them removed, i was about to scream! Having them removed takes about 20mins or less lol Retainers should be used till your about 24 just because you are young [thats if you are] and still growing. But to behonest, i got really lazy to wear mines, they dont fit no more. BUT DONT make the same mistake that i did. Just wear them everynight before bed and you will be ok.
Taking them off is not bad (compared to having them tightened!)
I hardly noticed it, I was so excited to get them removed.
I have to wear a retainer for 4 years!!
No it doesnt hurt at all
You will start off with clear retainers that fit onto your teeth for 2 months night and day
Then you will get a colored retainer and have to wear it at night until your wisdom teeeth start to grow, about 2 years.
Youll be done before you know it
it depends, but i dont think it hurts
It doesn't hurt one bit, I mean the only think you could possibly feel is when they take the brackets off and that doesn't hurt. If your Ortho is a great DDS, then don't even worry about that. If someone tells you that it hurts really bad, then they must have had a REALLY bad one. Don't worry, when they get them off, you'll won't stop smiling :D!
