Question:
And it's suppose to help my overbite. Like she put this ramp looking thing behind my two front teeth and it's suppose to stop my lower jaw from going back. The ramp is made out of the stuff you glue your braces on. And it really irritates me because I can't really eat because my molars don't meet and theres a big gap. Later on, the ramp chips and gets smaller and sometimes food gets stuck under it. And a few days ago I was like picking at the ramp thing and it just ripped off and the top of my mouth was bleeding and it felt like I just lost a tooth. The ramp had plaque building up on it and it smelled weird.
I was thinking why doesn't the dentist give me rubberbands instead of the weird ramp thing.
Have you guys ever heard of a ramp that goes in your mouth?
Answers:
It sounds like a jaw repositioning appliances — also called splints, these devices are worn on either the top or lower jaw, and help train the jaw to close in a more favorable position. They may be used for temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ).
