They don't use glue, but the material they use for the temporary filling does taste strange. Wash you mouth out with mouthwash a few times and that should help.

The oil of clove helps to calm down the tooth's nerve but can have a really bad taste in your mouth.
Call your dentist and ask if the material he used has oil of clove. That will explain the taste. If it did not, try to describe the taste in your mouth. You might have some type of infection causing the taste and your dentist has to be made aware of it.
