Hi Hun. I've been in dentistry for over 25 years. First of all, any surgery like this is not done until you finish growing. It is not practical and can reverse itself. So that is the first thing. Second your jaw can actually correct itself somewhat as you have at least 2 to 3 growth spurts until you are 18-20. So it is totally impractical to even consider surgery. And even if you do need it, it is relatively simple and you do NOT feel anything but sore for a few days. Most pain meds stop this and the joy of seeing your jaw re-aligned is a better pain relief than anything else. So don't panic. We do this all the time and the results are fantastic. But you need to wait. You will be out cold the whole time and not feel a thing. In fact some patients claim they had very little pain later because they looked so good they didn't care. So that is the best part. A happy patient is a content patient. Just relax and wait. And don't worry. When the time is right, you will look fantastic and love yourself and have tons of confidence. If you have any other questions, please ask. M
Surgery is nothing. When you have the anthestesia, you can't feel a thing. My friend has had mouth surgery, and i recently had surgery on my hand. You fall asleep very easily, you can't feel a thing.
Don't worry. Remember, this is to help you not to harm you.
My husband had the same surgery about 3 years ago. You will not be able to feel anything. He said that the recovery was a little hard but totally worth it. I think you have to have your mouth wired shut so you can't mess up what was done. So its hard to eat because everything you eat has to be blended. If you really dont like your bite though, its totally worth it. Just relax and it will all be great.
Theres no need to worry about it... All surgery that is done today is pretty painless... After any type of surgery it hurts some but they give you pain medications so you dont feel too much pain...
Jaw surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
