Marie D! I have another question please :o)?
Question:
I like the look of the teeth, even bigger, because my real teeth are extra tiny. Is there anything else I can do? Will the cutting of that little flap of skin cause the gap to lessen? I saved forever to have this work done and have since moved out of state, so I cant afford to do it again and my old dentist is all the way on the other side of the country.
As a dentist, if I do choose to address him, what would be the best way in your opinion? Thanks so much for your help!
Answers:
Be straight forward with your dentist. Tell him your problem and concerns. Did you like the teeth before the gap started? If you did maybe he or your new dentist could have the teeth moved orthodontically and a retainer made so the teeth would not shift again. Have them also check your bite as a possible cause to your problem. Good Luck
HELLO,
THE CHANGE IN A MONTH IN WHICH THE GAP DEVELOPED WAS DUE THE OCCLUSION, OR THE WAY THE BITE CAME TOGETHER.
YOUR OCCUSION NEEDS TO BE EXAMINED AND ADJUSTED SO THAT THE FORCES OF BITING DOWN ARE STABLE AND THERE ARE NO INTERFERENCES WHICH HAD FORCED A GAP TO OCCUR IN THE FIRST PLACE. TO CLOSE THIS GAP FROM THE POINT NOW, LIMITED ORTHODONTICS WOULD BE INDICATED.
