Answers:
Median annual earnings of salaried dentists were $129,920 in May 2004. Earnings vary according to number of years in practice, location, hours worked, and specialty.

Median annual earnings of salaried pediatritcians were $132,953 for less than 2 years in specialty and $161,331 over 2 years in speicalty in May 2004. Earnings vary according to number of years in practice, location, hours worked, and specialty.

I got this information on www.Bls.gov, click on the occupational hand book, and there you will see the median salaries of ANY occupation.

Good luck with your project!
i would have to say a dentist.

or.. a Pediatric Dentist 8-) woohoo..
They are pretty close to the same, though pediatricians usually average around a $120,000, some less, some more.

A dentist around $100,000 if a general dentist, however, both specialties have those that are making far more than the average!

The good thing about dentistry is you have nights and weekends off, but then I guess more physicians are doing the same as there are ER physicians to send people to!

Dentist have a lot higher suicide rate!

Salary often depends on where you are and if you have a sub-specialty. Pediatric neurosurgery is probably one of the highest paying of all!

Same with dentist as they have specialty's in restorations and even teeth implants!

The real question is what interest you the most, as that is likely what you will be the best at. Don't let money dictate who you are or what you become!
