Wisdom Teeth: How long must I wait to eat?
I just got my wisdom teeth out today, and I was wondering...
How long (in hours) should I wait to eat my soft food? It's been about 3 hours since I got them out, and my mouth is still a bit numb... Any help?
Answers:
Do not eat anything until the Novocaine wears off, you can really do some damage in you mouth. When it wears off you can start to eat soft foods like.pudding, ice cream, yogurt, soft eggs anyway you like. If you want something binding you can have mashed potatoes, but not hot! Nothing hot for at least a day or to and no sucking through a straw, spitting or persing your lips. You want to make sure the clot is formed and in place so you heal. Good luck to you, it's all over and your going to be just fine. NOTE: for the first person who wrote to you do not listen.... DO NOT EAT TIL THE NOVACAINE WEARS OFF. And for the second person, I would not rinse til tomorrow, if you really feel like you have to, put some water in your mouth and move your head side to side, if you rinse the normal way you can dislodge the clot that is forming.
Getting wisdom teeth removed!?
You are fine to eat as soon as you want to. Just eat soft, room temperature things (mashed potatoes are good), and nothing with seeds or little pieces in it. And remember, no straws for the next couple of weeks! You really don't want to get dry socket.
Does anyone know how much teeth braces cost for an adult in the uk and is it very painful?
If I were you I would wait until the numbness wears off. Then you will be fine to start eating your soft foods like mashed potatoes, jell-o, pudding, applesauce. Remember not to drink through a straw, or suck on anything, and try to rinse your mouth out after you eat each time. Hope this helps. :-)
How can i get straight teeth with out braces?
I would wait until the freezing is gone, just so you dont bite anything like your cheek. You can really eat anytime after getting them out. Eat really soft foods. When I got mine out, it took about a week, maybe a little longer to a least chew food fully. But make sure after eating you rinse your mouth out so none of the food particles get stuck! Good luck.
I started eating yogurt about 3-4 hours after I got home from getting them pulled. You should be fine anytime now.
