Why am i getting headaches so often lately?

Question:
im not sure if my teeth are the problem, i have two cavities that i got fill-ins for. Or mabye its because i clench my teeth, but never too hard. As far as i know i havent changed any of my habits, and ive been getting headaches just recently. Does anyone know what the cause could be?

Answers:
It could very well be that you are clenching your teeth at night, and you don't know how hard you clench.

That used to be my problem and I was suffering from daily headaches, until my dentist made a "splint" (mouthguard) that I use every single night.

I hope you find the cause of your headaches and feel better soon!
have you been playing with your boyfriend??
Don't take headaches lightly. If you've had a headache for 3 days or more, you should see a doctor. I'll tell you 2 scary stories about headaches.

1 - Last summer I started getting these really bad headaches, sensitivity to light, nausea, exhaustion...it turned out to be Viral Meningitis. I got it from a mosquito bite of all things. I made a full recovery, but it took several months.

2 - A friend of mine started having really bad headaches, and noticed a "metal" taste in her mouth. She finally went to the doctor and found out she had a brain tumor and required emergency surgery.
I clench my teeth and it does cause headaches and TMJ problems. You may also be clenching your teeth while you sleep and not know it. You should set up a consultation with your dentist to discuss this issue. Most dentist can have a splint made that fits over your lower teeth. The splint helps protect your teeth from the clenching and grinding and also helps to relax the muscles in the jaw which in the end will help rid you of the headache.
