Question:
Answers:
It is actually ok to put on your teeth, it is not safe to swallow it though...just like toothpaste, and mouth rinse, and anything else you clean your teeth with.
Baking soda will not hurt you if you swallow it, people use it for cooking and to help aid digestion.
I would suggest brushing your teeth with the baking soda (put it on your toothbrush like you would toothpaste...same amount) and to make it paste like use the peroxide.
If you want to use mouth trays line the tray with the baking soda, and get it to a paste like substance with the peroxide, leave in mouth for about 5 to 15 min., rinse your mouth out with warm water.
Also you can swish peroxide like you do mouthwash...be sure to rinse your mouth out with warm water. ;)
I highly suggest that you don't put those chemicals in your mouth...they usually say "don't ingest" so don't risk it. you can get Listerine's pre-brush whitening wash, it's not that expensive and it really works. Just use it like mouth wash before you brush your teeth.
yes its safe, i wouldnt swallow it. i would mix it together to make it paste and brush like regular toothpaste. lots of people use this, especially the older generation. My grandpfather uses it all the time. if you think its not safe watch a tv ad. baking soda and peroxide toothpaste, they make it! it's the same thing
Peroxide, H2O2, is an enzyme that can break down your liver if swallowed. If in your eyes, it will cause blindness. I suggest you delude it with water and use it as a rinse. Not only will it help whiten your teeth, but it will help any cuts in your mouth from chewing your tongue/cheeks. Baking soda, I would say add a little water and brush your teeth with. I do believe there is a tooth paste that does use it's main ingredient as baking soda.
Liquid peroxide. This is safe. It's recommended by some dentists to help treat gingivitis. And don't swallow it. You could Google it and get more in depth info.
