Braces with Elastics while I sleep?

Question:
I just got elastics on my braces today, 2 on each side [4 total], and they totally keep my mouth closed if I don't try to open my mouth.

I'm afraid that when I go to sleep tonight, the elastics will close my mouth and I won't be able to breathe? I CAN breathe through my nose, but not subconsciously while I sleep, I can only breathe through my mouth. Will the elastics pose a danger to me? The thing is, I have a medium sized bedroom, and I sleep with the door closed, so the air isn't very fresh or clean. What do I do?

Answers:
You will be fine. Your body won't let you stop breathing and die in the night. And, if you are really worried, just take the rubber bands off
I'm pretty sure you can breath through the holes between your teeth. I had elastics, too. And you could leave the door open for air, if you're paranoid.
u mean the little rubberbands in your mouth then yes u can breathe
your body has natural reactions to things and it is pretty much impossible to not breathe in your sleep, you will wake up if you cant breathe
