After some dental work I had inflamed gums on one side and they told me the best thing is just rinsing with plain, warm salt water and brushing gently.
Oh and Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory, dentist love to tell you to use that for any pain or discomfort in the mouth. You can take up to 800 mg safely. Twice per day.
Chew a raw Garlic clove this will kill off most of the Bacteria
Get something called CORSODYL and rub it on your gums. It's like an anti bacterial gel in a tube.
rinse with salt in warm water the hottest you can stand
Have you tried Superfloss? It is made specially for cleaning around bridge units. You should be able to find it in Boots.

Use a floss threader to get the floss under the bridge or use an oral irrigator such as a waterpik. That being said if you are a mouth breather then your gums are red because they get dry and irritated and you need to coat them with something like Biotene's Oral Balance at night before you sleep and see your doctor (MD) for a referral with regards to checking your tonsils and adenoids to ensure that your airway is clear and that your nose works properly.
after visiting dentist get an electric toothbrush.
corsodyl mouth wash and/or gel should help. buy from pharmacy if it continues consult yr dentist.
