Have you heard of crowns 'failing'?
My dentist said I have sensitivity in my crown because my old filling was big and may have cracked before I had the root canal. has anyone had this happen.
I paid cash for the procedure, no insurance to get another crown.
How far can you drill a tooth down without crowning it?
Answers:
Yes, Crowns fail. Yes, teeth crack. And no, a root canal does not always help...especially if the tooth is cracked through and into the root. Sometimes cracked teeth are crowned and they are never a problem again. It depends on how deep the crack is and sometimes the only option is to extract the tooth. No one wants that but sometimes that is the only option, especially if it is painful to eat. No Dentist can make any guarantees about crowns or any dental procedures...insurance or no insurance. Maybe have an Endodontist (root canal specialist) give you a second opinion
what will get rid of an infection?
IF HE DID THE WORK HE SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM IF NOT CALL 7 ON YOUR SIDE THEY WILL LOOK INTO IT AND HELP YOU
actually its not that the crown failed, it was the dentist. if you had a root canal he should have made sure that the crown was absolutely secure, or if it came out, he should replace it. root canals are a waste of time and money anyway because the tooth is already decaded enuff that its really not worth saving. I mean after all, the root is gone, so why keep the tooth. you can always get a fake one put in if it is in the front of your mouth.
