i would say not to take it before you get the braces on because the pain doesnt kick in for a couple of hours after the braces. its the worst at night so if you can try taking it before you go to sleep
Braces do hurt, especially when you first get them, and everytime there tightened [I had mine for 5 years]. But if your worried about pain beforehand, take a Tylonol or Advil. It should ease the pain a little bit. Braces are extremely uncomfortable though. Good luck.
i heard from other people that it hurts but it didnt hurt for me. it's just annoying. no MAJOR painkillers are needed! if anything, motrin with help
I got mine on in January and they hurt pretty bad. It sucked because I couldn't play my flute very well for like a week. It took exactly that amount of time for the pain to go away. You should take painkillers.
