prophylaxis?? Well right now I have braces on they put the top ones like 3 months ago and yesterday the just put the bottoms on. Well right now my mouth hurts a lot I can berly eat anything that is really hard but like in a week or so I know that it wont hurt that much. You will get usto them because I already got usto the top ones now I just need to get usto the bottom ones, but they are worht it at the end! =)
ohh yeah by the way braces do not make you ugly OK some people actually look better with braces

At first, they hurt when you chew food. Don't worry, after a while of eating food as you normally would, the pain will easily melt away. Don't worry about braces, just be calm!
braces don hurt when they are put on...it takes like a day then it will hurt.eat lots of ice cream.

and defidently worth it.
