Braces records compared to invisalign records?

Question:
yesterday i went to invisalign doctor he said i can get invisalign. according to invisalign how do they take records is it different from braces records

i already have braces records.

Answers:
You and your doctor develop a treatment plan specifically for you. Then the doctor takes bite impressions of your teeth, which Invisalign will use to custom-mold a series of clear, removable aligners that will gradually move your teeth into an incredible new smile.

Invisalign uses 3-D computer imaging technology to depict the complete treatment plan from the initial position to the final desired position from which a series of custom-made, clear "aligners" are produced. Each "aligner" moves teeth incrementally and is worn for about two weeks, then replaced by the next in the series until the final position is achieved.
