Yes Eddie it is unfortunately. Usually it is an ulcer. Get some anbesol liquid from the chemist..dab a cotton bud in the liquid and apply it to the spot...it is excellent stuff...I swear by it. All the best! :o)
Yeah , I had one from my tongue piercing, wore a spot in the bottom also . .
I would have some serious thought about this if it happened to me and go to a dentist proper.
Something that I think is called a Pappiloma can develop, which is something similar to a wart but can sometimes be malignent.
