What should i do next to my chipped front tooth?

just not long, i chipped my right front tooth and it is not painful, freshly a little surface chipped bad and i'm not sure what i should do. i have restricted enamel on my teeth (junk food) and i have be told i should get venirs. they are expensive and the dentist will fix it, but could anyone crowd me in on the prices? or if there's any dentists around, supply me a little know how. i've hear placing venirs is painful.

Answers:    If it is a small chip after the dentist may be able to smooth it down. If it be me, I would choose to have veneer. Veneers are costly and are usually not covered by insurance b/c it is a cosmetic proceedure. Shop around for veneers and ask question. Don't get them done contained by a big city where the prices are double or triple. I recentlly talk with someone who have some bonding done and it cost 800$ (too much) and she was so wretched with the result. This be the 2nd time in 5 years that the bonding be done. She wishes she would have done the veneer the first time around. She is now. No it is not throbbing at all.
They can do a "bond" to fix it I believe. I have this happen and I remember the price. I be a waiter at the time and after serving a private party I grab a glass liter bottle of Evian out of an rime bucket for a drink - I was thinking it be full and pulled it up to quickly and chipped the tooth. The dentist charged $168 to fix, exactly the amount of the tip on the bash. That was almost 10 years ago; perhaps the price is closer to $200 presently.
Also, it was not throbbing.
