When I consume protein, I am very energetic and my jaw starts numb, the feeling of unwilling to eat anymore.?
Question:
Another day, I ate durian which is full of protein. After eating some bits, I ate peanuts. Then I can't eat anymore as my jaw became numb. It was like all the peanuts were stucked between the teeth.
They are not painful nor senseless, but weird. It is always be heard that vitamin B is helpful in protein digestion. But, I didn't try it.
Why my jaws feel numb?
Answers:
It sounds like an allergic reaction to something. I would check with a doctor and/or allergist to be on the safe side... especially with the numbness.
The energy is pretty normal with protein... although not in the high amounts that you mention.
Without doing tests, my first guess is that you may be allergic to peanuts.. any fried chicken may be fried in peanut oil.
As far as the B vitamins helping protein digestion, they don't do anywhere near as much as Protease... it's an enzyme that specifically breaks down proteins in your stomach so that they are easier to digest and absorb.
Interesting. Maybe your mouth muscles are working from all the chewing or maybe you have a nerve that responds or is being pinched when you chew. As for the energy, it has been well noted that special forces soldiers carry an enzyme that allows them to get twice as much energy from the same amount of food as a normal person. it is all biological and genetic as to how we feel. Have your blood enzymes checked for irregularities.
