What are veneers?
Question:
Answers:
They are thin porcelin/ceramic (tiles almost) that fit over your natural teeth make them look more astetically pleasing. There are several ways to do them, one (the right way), they prep the teeth which means they drill some of the top of the natural tooth off to make the veneer flush with the other teeth. cement it on.. and they are permanent. (supposeably)
OR two (the easy/lazy wrong way) They fit the veneers right over your existsing teeth, cemement and be done with it. These don't look as good as the others, because they are too bulky and look fake.
I personally dont reccomend veneers to anyone. They fall off all the time because people do things they are not suppose to with them. *open things with their teeth, bite into things..etc* They are for asthetics and not much else. They don't fix orthodontic problems and cost lots of money. Each veneer is price anywhere from $700-900. Do you really want to spend $4200 to have them fall off a year or two later. Spend that money and get braces and bleach. You'll have lifetime results.
basically? they are man made teeth, so they look perfect in your mouth.
