How regularly do pieces on your braces break?

I'm just curious, because I've have my braces for 3 months, and it seems similar to every month something breaks. Is this considered to be normal, because I remember when I first get my braces they told me that if stuff broke too much they would start to charge me for it. And if it kept breaking they would remove my braces.

So I'm curious if this is considered too much? Or normal stuff explicitly going to happen. What are your experiences? Also I hold pretty TIGHT teeth so I'm sure that is playing a role.

Answers:    I have my braces for almost 2 years and nothing ever happen to mine and i was a gum chewer and carmel eater!! lol Maybe you should try a tentative orthodontist if they really care for their patients later YOU should be their main priority not if a braket comes bad. And as far as them removing your braces??! Thats crazy talk they cant nick them off if your paying for them (at lowest in my principal that would make no sense) But ya perchance think give or take a few goin somewhere else!
My teetth were really tight when i have a brace-hence why most of them have moved pay for now. The line popped out a few times when i ate apples and stuff, but you can put that back yourself. Braces are overrated surrounded by my opinion, but purely tell your orthodontist that you haven't done anything to warrant it breaking, that opening it's there failure it's breaking, not yours surely?
