Can you get a gum graft over an implant site?

Question:
I have an implant (I did get a bone graft as well) and my only problem is, because of years of recession, the gums around my implant site are higher up than the rest of my gums. I want to even this out. Would a gum graft be possible? I just want a gum graft over my crown on the implant site to make my smile look more even. Is that possible?

Answers:
I believe it is as long as you had good bone heigth as well. I would check woth your periodontist. If not, you could have the crown and the implant abutment replaced with a new porcelain type abutment that makes it look like a tooth rather than the metal.
yes you can!! i got it done by the dentist i work for...so i know for a fact that it is possible...had the same thing done...looks alot better than it did becaue i did it, you should do it you'll be sooo happier that you did...i was:)
