Question:
he is going to have 3 adult teeth removed which the dentist said it was a result of bad eating habits however he does brush regular and my daughter is 12 and her teeth are fine is the medication a possiblity that it is rotting his teeth thanks

Answers:
that could be very well possible my cousin used to take some kind of pain killer and it left black spots on her teeth once she stopped taking the medicine the spots on her teeth were gone
i dont no, thanks 4 the 2 pts
well ibrufen does not rot the teeth. And about paracetamol these are the side effects:Skin rashes, blood disorders and acute inflammation of the pancreas have occasionally occurred in people taking the drug on a regular basis for a long time.

i dont think the rotting has to do with any of the medication...just tell your son to brush his teeth like how he is doing and tell the doctor that ur son cleans his teeth everyday.

Good luck!!
The drugs your son takes have no effect on his teeth. The dentist has already advised you that your son has bad eating habits. If you want to save the rest of his teeth you need to help him change his eating habits. It's difficult to be hard on him when you know he is in pain all the time but you do need to change what you let him eat. Ask the dentist to show you how he should be brushing his teeth as well. He may be brushing regularly but his technique may not be very good.
it could just be that the saliva is not not breaking down the plaque properly. my daughter had a check up and i was told a couple of her teeth have holes in and are'nt great due to having lots of sweets and and juice and sugary foods. i was shocked as my daughter only has natural juice as she comes out in a rash to some and as a rule i dont buy sweets,my kids have to be extra good to get them. iv'e just never got into the routine of buying them for arguments sake. i told this to the dentist and said i was offended that she said that, she then said if she honestly doesn't have sugar it must be the saliva not doing the job properly and so explained it to me. her teeth are not rotting tho but it could be very similar cut out any sugary things.thats what i was advised.
