New mouth guard and it hurts?
Question:
Does anyone have that problem... I think, it's too tight in the front teeth area and I honestly did try to tell him... It was my upper teeth that have gotten the mouth guard and it will only be use at night because I grind my teeth...
I should put a little bit of petroleum jelly on it before I put on my teeth so it will be easy to take off in the mornings?
Thank you!!
Answers:
Go back to your dentist and tell him to make a small adjustment on your night guard. You paid a lot of money for that night guard and it does not have to hurt your teeth, even "if you only take it off once a day". It should not happen, and you do not need to put up with that kind of attitude from your dentist. It will only take a few seconds to make a small adjustment.
I don't know if it would work like the invisiline I have but they should be able to give you wax where it is uncomfortable.
The wax is readily available at the orthodontist office.
Hope this helps.

Since it's customized, it should fit perfectly... but there's a chance it needs to be adjusted somewhere.
Go back to your dentist and ask him to check your occlusion, with the night guard in place; he may find a spot or two that do indeed need to be adjusted.
