Ok. i have teeth extenders.?

Question:
I got teeth extenders that are really annoying. Whenever i try to talk, i can't talk that good and whenever i eat something, i get all this food stuck in the space between my extender base(about 1/2inch from roof of mouth) and the top of my mouth. It's like a storage for all the small scraps. and i can get them out but, it takes like 5minutes to drink water, swish it and drink it. i have to do it like 10times. and another problem is, when i drink it, it sometimes get stuck back in the space again. and if i spit it out, it works but sometimes, it isnt a suitable space to spit it out. please help.

Answers:
I think you mean "expander." That is an appliance that fits in your top jaw. It is split along the center and someone has to click it 3 times (or so) a day. Right? My daughter had one in the 1980's and the orthodontist called it a "Palate Splitter." They have a better name for it now. Your palate is made of cartilege until you reach puberty, then it turns to bone. It is very tight but doesn't hurt after you click it, it is gradually making your top jaw wider. Eventually I could place one of my fingers between my daughters front teeth. Then she got the braces and has a smile that Crest would put on TV on a commercial. So, just rinse and spit and try to not eat things like chips that are going to gum up and stick in there. The spacer is going to get bigger anyway and then you won't have those problems.
