How do you make your breath smell good?

my breath smells bad even after i brush my teeth for 5 minutes!! what do i do?

Maybe you have a cavity. I would go to the dentist for a checkup. If you have bad breath daily for no good reason you probaly have a cavity.

all the bacteria that makes your teeth smell bad live in your taste buds! so you need to scrub your tongue, maybe even the top. i have heard of people needing a tongue scraper that actually scrapes of the gunk on your tongue! you could try doing this just using your teeth. its gross, but w/e works lol
There could be an underlying problem, see a dentist for a check up and cleaning.

Make sure you are brushing your tongue also. You should be doing that with a different toothbrush then the one you use on your teeth. This helps not to spread bacterica around the mouth. You make need a very good deep cleaning too. Sometime someone may have gingivitis or perio problems that makes the breath smell bad. You need to get in and get a good cleaning from you dentist.
You have to brush your teeth twice daily; use mouthwash, and whenever after meals or eating junk foods, no matter how many times you eat junk foods in a day, you have to rinse your mouth thoroughly with clearn and fresh water. And you have to make this a habit as your daily life. So, your condition will dramatically improve.
Make sure to brush your tongue (especially in the back) when you're brushing your teeth. They also make these things that scrape your tongue. I have heard that much of the bad breath a person has can be located there. They also make bad breath pills that you could try. If you try everything in the book without a prescription, then consult a doctor.

Also quick nugget that can help after you eat out. If you eat at a sit-down restaurant, bite the lemon from your water or tea when you've finished eating. It's a decent way to help clear breath after eating.
You can try breath fresheners, mouth wash. try chewing mint or spearment gum because the flavor last long inside your mouth. you should also flass. Try chewing gum all the time.

Floss, rinse, brush and then use listerine. After this your breathe will smell better.
