i beat you, i got my top ones on at the end of 3rd grade my bottom ones on before christmas in 4th grade and didn't get them off until the end of my 8th grade year. :]
i had the same problem as you i didn't want to wear my rubber bands, they suck. i had to do the triangles too. when it comes down to it it's the only way to get them off i would forget to put them on, i'd lose them, and everything. just wear them, they suck butt but when you get your braces off it's worth it.
You'll be happy to know that banding is one of the last steps to getting your braces off. Please wear the bands as much as your ortho tells you to because that will allow your braces to come off as quick as possible. He will probably give you head gear if you do not wear the bands! Hang tough and all that trouble will be worth it when the bracces are removed and you're left with a beautiful smile.
Maybe if you tried to be more compliant with your orthodontist's instructions you could get them off sooner rather than later. Try to remember the bands! The pain is part of the whole ordeal. Remember what the braces are for. They WILL come off eventually, and you will be a better looking person!
hey am not sure how much longer you will have your bands but i would deffinetly wear them as much as possible
becuase your still younger they are try too assist your jaw into the correct postion with bands and maybe headgear it will help in the long run
as if it isn't corrected at a young age you may have to go through orthagonthic surgery where the jaws will be moved into postion surgically
these bands will help you get the perfect bite =]

The only reason you still have them on is because you are non compliant with the rubber bands. This is one of the most critical steps in orthodontics. Also by putting in the rubber bands and then taking them out and putting them back in is very harmful to the roots of your teeth and you can actually do damage to your teeth by doing this. You will be soar for a day or so after you start to wear them but I promise you this will go away if you wear the 24/7 except to eat and to brush. Good Luck and they will be off soon if you wear your rubber bands!
oh please im getting my braces in like 2 weeks and even though i saw my brother suffer with braces now im scared!!on my brothers before teeth pics u could point out 2 reasons of braces.bad bite and crowdedness.even though my pics have the same thing mine are a 1000 times worse.my two front teeth have like a half a centimeter gap in between them.which is crowding my other teeth around!!dont get head gear but if u have to my friend got it and she just wore it while she slept and when the house was emty except for her mom who she knew could trust with the head gear thing!!but the thing is no offence boys but females were made stronger by mother nature.which means we can get through this!only woman or doctors would understand!same thing happened to my brother teeth were fine but just needed a little bit more change i would say like maybe like 3 more months at most.
