You aren't going to gag.
Getting braces put in is a painless procedure. At most, it will pinch a little.
They put cement on your teeth and then put in the metal braces.
After, they'll put a wire through the braces.
The cement will taste funny, but try not to let your tongue touch your teeth until the procedure is finished.
Your teeth will feel sore for a while afterwards. i suggest soup.
I was also nervous when I was getting my braces, but there is nothing to be scared of. You dont even really feel them putting them on, and it hurts a little afterwards, but not much. The thing that hurts with braces is the once a month tightening, which only hurts for 2 or 3 days. You wont gag, because they arn't putting anything down your throat. They are only putting things on your teeth. But as I said before, putting them on doesn't hurt at all.
Think about it afterwards, your teeth will look beautiful!
Yeah, you will be fine. They are not putting anything down your throat, so you will not gag. But sometimes if you are having a hard time breathing, just breath through your nose and not your mouth. You will be fine though, I promise! You will have a beautiful smile when it is all over.
The first time the braces are on the worst thing is holding your mouth open for so long. I do not remember ever gagging that day. Just remember to use the wax they give you to help protect the inside of your mouth. Have some motrin ready. Eat soft food the first few days. When you go back for your tightening it is uncomfortable, somrtimes painful, but the motrin/ibuprofen reaaly helps, a lot
HEY, chill!! it does not hurt att all you'll be fine trust me. they just put like cement on your teeth and then they put the wires on and stuff, and trust me you'll be fine. i dont know what you mean by gagging? never heard of that before. it's really not that big of a deal they don't hurt at all relaxxxx
