When you get braces put?
Question:

When my son got his on we paid $250. down. then $130 a month. This will all depend on how long you need braces and the type of plan your orthodontist offers. It is usually cheaper if you can pay it all at once. But most people can't afford to do that.
it depends on what kind of plan you have if you have a payment plan then you pay every time you go. but if you just pay the whole thing at one time no
Yes, you do have to put down payment. The first time you go to an orthodontist they will take an xray of your mouth and your head. Then they will talk to you about whether or not you need braces. Lets say that you do need braces then they will talk to you about how much it is going to be and how long the treatment is going to be, etc. You will have to go back to your dentist and get a sign off on a piece of paper that says that your teeth are in good condition and ready for braces. The second time you see the orthodontist you will pay the down payment and they will put on the spacer, metal or clear bracket, etc. The third time, about 1 week after, you will have the wires put on. You can pay monthly or you can pay all at once. Some orthodontists give discount if you want to pay everything up front. I am planning to put on braces too but unfortunately I have a long way before I can do that. I need to take 3 of my wisdom teeth first. I got 1 of them out last year. My orthodontist told me that I can have the wisdom teeth removed while having the braces but I don't think it is going to be neither comfortable nor safe. So I decided to take them out first before putting on the braces.
Well that depends on who you do to, my moms insurance had to pay a down payment and then monthly payments after that.
