Is it true that invisalign doesn't work for 'older' people? I'm 25...?

I was told by an oral surgeon that those types of 'braces' won't really work on someone who is older because the teeth are harder to move than when you're a young teenager. That invisalign will just 'tickle' my teeth instead of really moving them. But I've been to their website and they say that they work for people of all ages...

Tongue has a couple white spots on side where its rubbing teeth?

I worked as a dental assistant in an office that did a lot of Invisalign cases. Actually, all of our patients were adults, 25 and older. We saw very positive results. The main thing is to follow your dentist/orthodontist's recommendations on how long to keep them in during the day and stick to the schedule they give you.

Retainer after braces?

I am 24 and I have had them in about a month now. They seem to be working, my teeth are pretty sore so I am assuming that something is happening. I am sure I won't see any change for a few months or so yet, but people of all ages can have them. I have heard that they are not recommended for kids becuase a lot of kids won't keep up with the schedule of taking them out when you brush and so on... I love them! No one can even see them!
