Clean, "rosy-red" tongues?

Question: Hi ya'll. i'd like to thank you for being so helpful... my wealth of knowledge has expanded. I have a question about cleaning tongues. I've been one person who's really strict with dental hygiene and a clean tongue but i have one interesting question: Ever wonder what is used to clean the tongue that makes it so red? Az in "rosy-red clean" esp. celebrities. Is that the work of the tongue-cleaner or is it something pple put in their mouth to prevent whitening of the tongue? Thanx

Maybe they like cherry popsicles. That can make your tongue red for hours. :)
