When I first had mine, I ate mashed potatoes, oatmeal, jello, bananas, soup, ice cream, soft breads (like rolls, soft cornbread) and even some sandwiches. A friend of mine mentioned bananas to me, and I realized it was a great snack most of the time! The first day or so you have them on, you may have to eat more things like soup.
I still chew gum even though I have braces but just be really carefull.oh and GUMMY BEARS!!
Apple sauce, mashed potatoes, soup.and you can just about mash anything up in a blender if you wanted something else.
Once you get your braces on your teeth will be sore for a couple of days. When i had them I would have mashed potatoes, oatmeal, jello, or smoothies. Try taking a few motrin before going to get them on you won't have as much pain. Good luck!
I got my braces a bit ago and I have broken a total of 8 brackets. Stick with what you know...just try preparing different things different ways.
I eat bean and cheese burritos, sliced necterines, bananas, tofu, garlic irish potatoes w/ mushrooms and cheese, oatmeal, nut butter(grinded sunflower seeds or the seed of your choice), lots of veggies, salads(corn, lettuce, olives, cheese w/ peppercorn dressing)... just a few suggestions
You can eat cooked carrots. They're soft and not so bad in taste. And you can blend strawberries, banana, milk or w/e you use to make a milkshake. Also you can eat soup. Bananas, They don't require much chewing to swallow. You can also tear your food apart into smaller pieces and pop it in your mouth...woulnd't hurt as much.
