Silver flakes after dentist?
Question:
Answers:
when you get silver amalgam fillings there are alway bits left over that dont get sluiced out in the dental surgery when you rinse out your mouth. This happens because the sesation in you mouth is impaired because of the local anaesthetic andyou are unable to sense the residue left in your mouth.
Yes this is normal. You will have silver/greyish pieces. Those are flecks of things that didn't get spit out when you rinsed and spit at the dentist office.
It might be nothing but it could be a filling that wasnt properly placed. You could ask your dentist on your next apptmt. or call your dentist and see if he would like you to come in and have him check it.
its normal
just make sure not to swallow them
Hi Amanda, As I am not there to witness this event, I cannot comment as to what is going on. However, there may be a bigger problem that you may not be aware of and that is the material used in dental amagrams (silver stuff) contains a considerable amount of mercury. Mercury, one of the most poisonous type of poison, while being a cumulative type of poison (building up in your system over time), as well that you state that you have multiple amagrams, even more importantly, you may be a future host for a syndrome of diseases which fall under the acronym DAMS or Dental Amagram Syndrome, one of which is multiple sclerosis. You should consider having them removed with a less toxic material. The european countries have outlawed silver fillings many years ago as they recognized the hazards. Furthermore, if you are in a hospital and a regulat thermometer is dropped, they call the Hazardous Materials Team because of the mercury, this same substance they are putting in your mouth? Think About it.
