A Question about Braces?
Question:
Answers:
yes you can get them for only one row
yes it hurts a little after the procedure sometimes and it will feel like your teeth are being pulled together
Your dentist would be a better person to ask about this though
uhh yea it does not hurt (at all) Yea you can just get them on the bottom.
It is possible. My daughter had them on her bottom her top for quite a while. Her bottom teeth were fine.
it is possible. it is very common too. it only lasts half the time as both rows.
it is possible!o and when u get home thay hurt like hell!it lasts 4 about 4 to 5 days!
Yes it is possible.
Yes it does hurt.
The time length varies for everyone. Your orthodontist should be able to give you a good timeline.
i dont know but it also depends on the dentist
braces will hurt from 1week to 1 month when you first get them, when you periodically tighten them it will hurt for maybe 1-3 days, yes you can only get braces on the bottom if thats where you need them
when i first got mine i ate liquid food for about one week and i had sore teeth/gums for the rest of the month
yes, you can,and it doesnt hurt getting them on but after your mouth is very sore.depends how bad your teeth are.. most times 2 years
- yes
-a little you are more sore the day's after ward for about 3 days
-as long as you need to it depends there are adults who still have braces, and people who have only had them on for 1 year. it depends
yes it's possible. It doesn't hurt getting them put on, but it does hurt as they move and it'll be hard to eat anything other than soft foods. It'll last as long as it takes to align the teeth, your orthodontist can give you an estimate.
look now i have retainers in which i had braces b4 them. braces does hurt for the first couple of days, maybe a week. but then u wont feel a thing. it depends how u take care of ur braces. if u do it may last less dan 2 yrs. if u dont, it will last more than 2 yrs in ur mouth. 4 sure. :)
You CAN get them for only your bottom teeth, but most orthodontists will try to get you to get them on your top teeth as well. How long it takes depends how much work your teeth need. I think bottom braces hurt worse than top braces, but only after you first get them on or when you get them tightened. Good Luck!
Except for the second one, your orthodontist will have to answer those questions. Everyone is different. It also depends on how closely you follow their instructions. If you have head gear and don't wear it as directed, it can take a LONG time.
My daughter said they didn't hurt but she did get a mild headache for a couple of days after they put them on.
Yeah, definitely you can get them on just your bottom teeth. I had them on just the bottom for a while, but the the orthodontist changed his mind and put them on the top a couple months later.
It doesn't no hurt when you you initially get them on. The only things that hurt are when they get tightened (they put in a new wire). It aches after you leave the orthodontist, but any pain killer will solve your problem.
Umm, I only had to wear them for a little over a year, but I know people who needed them longer, like 2-3 years. The good news is that people are definitely needing them for less and less time. Don't worry about it, so many people get them these days.
yes it is possible but, the orthodontist may think you need them for you top because of the effects they have on not just you teeth but, your jaw also. Yes, it does hurt for a short while until your mouth toughens up, and gets used to them. they will also hurt a little when you go in to get them adjusted. I just give my daughter some motrin before we go. As far as for how long you have them, everyone is different my oldest daughter had them for a year, my youngest is going on 5 years.
Yes it is possible. Your teeth are sore when first get them put on because you have brackets in between your back teeth and the wire pulls them so make them straight. But the soreness only last for a day. After that you don't feel it. Every month you have to get them tightened and and that makes them sore again...but it is bareable...and it's worth it in the end. Another option is getting the braces put on the back of your teeth (a friend of mine did that once.you can't see them). How long you wear your braces is up to your dentist and depends on the severity of your teeth.I wore mine for 4 years but my best friend has braces and only needs them for 2. You could also get those clear braces that you fit over your teeth. I don't know how effective those are.
