To people who have braces?

Question:
Does it heart when u get it?

Answers:
I just got them yesterday! And it doesn't hurt..but it is uncomfortable. Take some Tylenol before you go, that really helped me!
cuz thier teeth r not strait
yes, take ibuprofen half an hour before getting them on and it will go a lot smoother for you.
the first day it will not hurt

but the coming 2-4 weeks it will be in slight to sore pain..
In all my times stuck in the orthodontics office, the braces weren't the worst. It is mildly painful, dull aches, and sometimes a bit of sharp pain. I'd take Tylenol before I went, but no worries.
I had braces on and off for eight years. For some such as me it hurts really bad when you get them on, but advil has always cured that for me. But it also hurts when you get them off, because pressure is no longer exerting on you teeth. But the pain doesn't last long, trust me. And it is worth is if you want straight teeth.
well like people said, just talk something 1/2 an hour before you get it done
At first when they are all done and put on you won't feel any pain at all, but after a little while you will feel it
This pain can last up to a little over a week
So stock up on the pudding and soft foods! Because chewing is not going to seem like such a great idea, it isn't extremely painful.. just not comfy
