New customize mouth guard have a hole in it?

Question:
I finally had my mouth guard fix to wear it fits right. Well problem is, it has a small hole in it. Should I call my dentist and tell him? Will that ruin the whole purpose of the mouth guard?

It's just a small hole, will it do any harm?

Answers:
Well it depends, was the hole there when you got it back after your fitting or did it develop after you were using it. It also depends on what your problem is, are you a clencher or a grinder or both. If you clench the hole isn't really a big deal, if you grind or do both it might be from wear which happens alot with grinders. If you a grinder get a NTI,(you can look it up online) it was made for headaches but trains muscles in face in neck to stay relaxed. I had such problems with pain in my face and neck and back. The NTI works great for me, its a little spending, like 170(with no insur). Its way small to, form fit onto your front teeth so you cant get it off with your tongue and shallow it. You pop it off and on, its great.
i would call your dentist. you dont want to take any risks
