Is this an absess? Will I really need Root Canal?
Question:

sounds tooooo familiar thanks! it's coz that little piece of gum stuck there causes every little thingy that you eat to get stuck in there (which causes the absess)! you have no idea how much pain a rice grain can cause when it gets stuck!you can't clean there coz it's at the back and it hurts like hell and since you're biting on it every time - you hurt your gum that's trying to protect your new tooth!!
the only thing the dentist will do is to cut away that little piece of gum en "pop" out the tooth (if you can see it in your mouth it's easy-ish to get out).
i'm an assistant and i'm gonna do 4 wisdom extractions RIGHT NOW! and the girl has the same problem than you!
don't be scared and rather get rid of that aching tooth NOW coz it won't get better!
good luck!!
Sounds like your wisdom tooth is coming in. Go see a dentist. People make wisdom teeth extractions out to be alot worse than they are. Believe me, I just went through this, get those wisdom teeth taken care of.
I was one of those people who if it doesnt hurt, I am not going to mess with it. Wow..did it ever start hurting. Get it taken care of.
Sounds like an absess to me. That really don't mean that you will have to have a root canal. You really need to get to the dentist though. They will have to put you on anitbiotics to take care of the infection before they can do anything to the tooth.
You should definitly see the dentist ASAP if you have trouble swallowing. They will probably remove the tooth. You mouth probably doesn't have room for the wisdom tooth and that's why its all swollen like that.
I think that your wisdom tooth is coming in. You will not need a root canal because it just needs to be extracted. You should always have all of your wisdom teeth taken out because most people don't have a large enough jaw to support them so when they do start to come in they will cause your other teeth to shift and move. They are also so far back so it is really hard to keep them clean so it is much easier for them to get infected. Call your dentist and I would go ahead and have them all out at once so you will not have this problem again. Good Luck and I hope that you feel better soon.
