What is in aleve?

Question:

Answers:
Aleve is in a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It's NOT in the same category as Tylenol (acetaminophen). Its generic name is naproxen or sodium (2S)-2-(6-methoxynaphthalen - 2-yl)propanoate.
Aleve is used to treat pain or inflammation. Just keep in mind that it has been linked to an increased risk of heart attack and stroke. It can also increase your risk of serious effects on the stomach or intestines (like all other NSAIDs).
Aleve is naproxen, an NSAID--non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It's in the same category as aspirin, ibuprofen (motrin) and aceto . . .aceta . . . Tylenol (can't spell it).
