Question:
I was thinking about getting braces put on in another country and while I was told that I could to see an orthodontist here in the states, I would like to know if anyone has done this and what were the results. Please share as much as possible. I live in NJ and if someone can recommend a specialist in the north hudson area it would be greatly appreciated.
Answers:
I worked in an office where we had patients transfer from Central and Latin American countries. I don't recommend changing the country unless you have to. The quality of care is poor (at least what we saw) and we had to redo everything. Also, the types of products used may be different, making it a little difficult for all parties. Depending on what country you go to may make a difference. Use your best judgment.
