Wisdom teeth extraction question!!?
Question:
Answers:
It took me about four days to get over the sourness of my wisdom teeth extraction, however I had two pulled out at once instead of four so keep that in mind.
I found that keeping two ice packs in the freezer and keeping it on each side for about twenty minutes greatly reduces the swelling affect. Also, sucking on cold things seemed to help temporarily.
You should be fine, the swelling only lasts a couple of days. Sucking on ice, and having popsicles also help the swelling to go down a lot faster.
More than enough. My wisdom tooth hurts so badly and my face swelled. I went to the dentist and found out it was decayed under the roots and there were pus inside the gums and vessels around the face. I had it operated out and the swelling was gone in 2 to 3 days. There was still pain after the extraction but it was alright the next day. Only, I had to still take the antibiotics for 3 days and just let the gap heal by itself which would take about 12 weeks.
You should be OK by then. Mine were impacted & infected and I was all better in just a few days. Have plenty of ice & popsicles on hand.
be sure to have all of your questions answered by your surgeon. remember that each person reacts differently to the procedure.
The pain and swelling will be gone! Stitches may still be there! Swish warm salt water in your mouth and spit three times daily! Do not smoke and do not suck on a straw! If you do...you will know what happens!
It takes seven days at most to recover, but always use an oral and maxillofacial surgeon to have your wisdom teeth removed. Go to http://www.oceansurgical.com.au/wisdom.h... to find out more
Yes you will have plenty of time! I was back at work the next day.
