I can't get into the dentist until August 16th and it's killing me today! Anything that ill work, don't care how crazy it is, tooth is killing me

Answers:
You should really call your dentist back and see if they can see you earlier. You need a root canal because the nerve of your tooth is infected. If you have any antibiotics you should start taking them. You are going to have to be put on antibiotics before they work on your tooth because the infection can cause you not to get numb. If you want to just have the tooth extracted you could just call an oral surgeon to see if you could get in sooner. I had a patient use clove oil and she said that it helped her a little. I hope you get to see your dentist soon. Good Luck
See if you can get some Oil of Cloves at either a drugstore or a health food store. Put a few drops on a small ball of cotton and hold it in place on the bad tooth. You can also use a Q-tip to apply it, but you have to hold the tip in place.
TAKE ADVIL (AKA, IBUPROFEN).
IF YOU WANT THIS PAIN OVER REAL FAST, SERE AN ORAL SURGEON FOR AN EXTRACTION, THEY DO SEE EMERGENCY PATIENTS.
JUST CALL AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE SAME DAY. TELL THEM YOU'RE IN PAIN.
Abosol works for me.
Oil of cloves does sometimes work.

What I have done is take both Tylenol and Advil(or Alieve in place of the Advil, not with it) and used maximum strength anbesol (or some other mouth numbing gel).

If you tell your dentist that you need an emergency visit they may be able to fit you in sooner. Hopefully you won't need an extraction!

I hope you feel better, toothaches are awful!
Anbesol is AWESOME for the pain. I had a toothache a while back and it worked (Along with aspirin every four hours)
I am not a drinker, but the only thing that works for me is to get a stronger hard liquor like vodka or bourbon. Take about a half shot, tilt your head in the direction of the sore tooth, and hold it in your mouth over the sore tooth (do NOT swish or swallow) until your gum feels numb (this will take about thirty seconds or so), and then GENTLY spit it out.
Although this is not a permanent fix and your toothache will come back, it will give you some much-needed immediate relief. Just repeat as necessary.
I hope you are feeling better soon!!
i've heard that mixing baking soda with hot water helps and garlic
get you some oral gel,if its extreme take some shot of liqour.
First of all.. I'm sorry for your pain. I know from experience that it can be the WORST. The only thing that worked for me was Ibuprofen (advil, or 800mg pills) and two antibiotics (amoxicillin and flagyl) both really strong so not even a DROP of alcohol please, you'll be really sick.

I had an abscess (tooth infection) because of a tooth fracture I had when I was little.

Call your dentist and describe your pain, he will probably send a prescription for the meds I mentioned. I was on 10 days of antibiotics, and got a root canal afterwards. Not bad at all... the worst pain is the one you are feeling now, and I'm sorry to say it will only get WORSE if you don't act on it.

If you're dentist won't see you or prescribe you the meds right away, you should probably think about getting a new DDS.

I hope you feel better!! You'll be ok, just demand service ASAP!
