Am I flossing correctly?

Question:
I know everything about the wrapping around fingers and all that, the issue is when I floss I only go just under the gumline, get the c-shape, hug the floss to the teeth and move it over and back 5 times, is this wrong/

Answers:
Sound good to me! Over and back 5 times sounds pretty thorough!

My dentist warned me about 'sawing' back and forth with the floss. I don't know why he warned me about that, because I never do it. He says it will wear grooves in your teeth.
I don't know about the moving it back and forth part, that's not how my hygienist flosses me when I'm getting my teeth cleaned, so I'm assuming it's not neccesary.
lol... yes your flossing just fine. But try not to "saw" it back and forth. It causes the gum to cut and bleed, and eventually there is a chance of getting gingivitis.
Also, after flossing, try using Listerene or Act mouthwash, to get the tiny food particles left from flossing out.
