Bugglegum and braces?

is it bad for u to hav gum near braces and why?

Answers:    No hard gums. Use something soft and sugar free. Freedent is supposed to be honest for braces, but it still can stick to your teeth. Brush your teeth as soon as you can after chewing it.
it is.. idkk why but thats what the dentistss say...
butt i enjoy done it when i had braces and notingg happen...
everyone does it
Orthodontists prefer you don't, because little pieces of the gum can get caught within your braces. If you can't get the piece out, it can motivation cavities and breakdown (especially if it has sugar surrounded by it!). I chew sugarless gum and I haven't had problems on the other hand. Remember to brush and floss thouroughly after chewing it.

Good luck!
