do raw food diets help you to lose weight quickly?
Question:
Answers:
They usually do, but only because you consume fewer calories. The foods themselves do very little to aid in the weight-loss process -- although they do make you healthier : )
I'd give it a try. Combined with exercise (and lots of it), you could probably lose 2.5-3lbs per week. Just make sure you aren't eating any raw meat though. That will make you very, very sick. Only sushi is okay.
Other Answers:
No, it makes you sick.
Sure nothing helps with weight loss like salmonella.
Only because they don't generally contain salt and as much oils.
I'm 40 and fit, I don't do any real exercise other than gardening and just general playing like frisbee and shooting some hoops occasionally. I'm not skinny, but basically in good shape. I could drop 10 pounds I guess.
I eat salad almost every day, eat fruit for breakfast (except weekends when I go out and have a small breakfast), and steer clear of junk foods almost completely. I never drink soda except for Coke Zero occasionally and I don't drink fruit juice. I'll admit I have my share of alcohol, but rarely is it beer. Usually mixed drinks that aren't sweet. Yum Martini Yum.
I also don't eat a lot of pasta, potatos, or rice.
