How can I dye half my hair white?

I wanted to dye my dark hair white but only half of it. I know I would have to bleach it and then add the color pearl white into it but I already have this light brown in my hair, wanting to get rid of it so the white would look nice in my hair, but I'm not sure how to do that. I want to go to the stylist to check it out but my friends and I was planning to do the coloring at home, so any expert out there can give me some hints?

Shell out the dough for the hair dresser now while your hair is still in good shape or you will most definately be doing it after. You are right about having to bleach your hair out; however the extent to which your hair will have to be bleached will make your hair very fragile and it is extremely easy for someone that doesn't have experience with bleach to wind up with melted hair when they are trying to lighten it that extremely

ya wanna know what i did once? i wanted to get my hair more blonde than box dye, since my hair is brown it usually turns red. so i got the frost n tip, put it all over my hair, put a bag over it and waited till it was allmost white..

You will never be able to get it white, unless your hair is really blond to begin with and even then your hair will still have a blonde tinge.

Why the heck would u want white hair? Thats mostly the reason people dye there hair dont u think ?

why do u want it white? ur the first person that wants white hair.. uhh dont ppl dye their hair to get RID of whites?

bleach it out as much as possible w/o damaging, it will take time. then use roux white minx hair toner. works great and you end up with jayne mansfield hair.very bombshell
