Question:
Answers:
Actually a woman requires extra calories when she's menstruating. Most of her weight is gained from water retention and can gain 5 or more pounds during her period, but then loses it afterwards due to the fact that it is mostly water weight (not to mention constipation).
Other Answers:
she may feel like she's gaining weight cuz when girls get their period (and the week before too) they feel bloated cuz they retain a lot of water.but we also get cravings and obviously if we give in to them and eat a lot we'll gain weight
I eat a lot of chocolate when I have my period because the iron content makes my periods heavier, but funnily enough less painful and over more quickly. I never put on weight though, because I walk, dance or cycle a lot.
