Has anyone heard of the medicinal value of CITRON (etrog) fruit?

Question: I met a medicine man in Jerusalem who makes citron sprays and creams for the skin. He uses an old Yemenite recipe. He also makes an Citron juice that people come to him for from all over the country. Anyone know if Citron (etrog) is as healthy as he says? thank you!
