Flat bench is usually best.
Lift weights from a lowered position out to either side of yourself, but be careful not to use to heavy a weight at first so you don't injure muscle and joint, as this is a rather strenuous exercise for initial phase.

Sit on a flat bench-- and don't forget you need to be leaning forward (bent over).. with your back horizontal and parallel to the floor for this exercise.
